We are a small cattery, located in Staten Island , NY. We bought our
first kitten because of my sons allergies. Having had cats for many
years before my son was born, I was instantly struck by the many
differences between this breed and any other I had known. First thing I
noticed was that these cats are very dog like. They will come to meet
you at the door, you can hear them coming as soon as your key is in the
lock. They are affectionate and love attention. They love human contact
and will seek you out often for some good rubbing. I am sure that
somewhere along the line you have heard the breed is hypoallergenic.
To some people they are, to others they are not. If you or a family
member have allergies I would strongly suggest that you send for a fur
and saliva sample, before you leave a deposit. I have seen two people
react very differently to the same cat. The fee for a sample is $30 and
will be taken off the price of the kitten. Since hardly anyone is allergic to
the kittens, your samples will be from both parents.
